Leoni: The factory in Kraljevo will produce 2,000 cable sets a day
On Sunday, Leoni officially opened its fourth factory in Serbia, in the presence of President Aleksandar Vucic and the mayor of Kraljevo, Predrag Terzic.
As stated, the project will equip six million vehicles by 2030.
Leoni is a global supplier of products and solutions for energy and data management in the automotive sector and other industries, and the company opened its fourth and largest factory in Serbia so far, in Kraljevo.
- This plant is not only the largest Leoni factory in Serbia. In its full capacity, it will employ the largest number of people (up to 5,000 by the end of 2023), which will make the company the largest private industrial employer in Serbia. Leoni has so far invested over EUR 50 million in the construction and equipment of its new production plant - the announcement states.
This facility is the first completely new factory in Kraljevo in almost 30 years and is expected to significantly contribute to reduction of unemployment rate, increase the standard of living in that region and accelerate its development, the spokespeople at Leoni say.
