Scientists from the Belgrade Faculty of Chemistry are developing an antigena test and a cure for COVID-19

Scientists from the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Belgrade, within two projects of the Special COVID-19 Research Program, funded by the Science Fund of Serbia, are developing solutions that will help fight coronavirus, the Science Fund stated after its representatives recently visited the research teams and laboratories where the research is being conducted.

According to the Science Fund, this center is one of the 200 teams around the world that is working on finding a cure for COVID-19.

It is specified that the CAPSIDO project, under the leadership of SANU correspondent and professor at the Faculty of Chemistry in Belgrade Tanja Cirkovic Velickovic, develops a more reliable and faster antigen test for COVID-19 detection, and the SMART Repurposing project, led by academician and professor at the Faculty of Chemistry in Belgrade Radomir Saicic, is working on finding a cure for COVID-19.
