The Assembly of the Municipality of Veliko Gradiste, at its 8th session on July 19, made a decision on the adoption of the Plan for detailed regulation of the Srebrno Jezero airport with a report on the strategic environmental assessment, which is another step towards start of the airport construction.

As stated in the Plan, the future airport will be built on an area of 215 hectares and will bear the 4D mark.

According to the International Classification of Airports introduced by ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), the number 4 indicates the length of the runway, which according to the adopted plan will be over 1,800 meters, and the letter "D" indicates an aircraft with a wingspan of 36-52 meters and a distance edge of the wheels of the main landing gear from 9 to 14 meters.

As previously announced, the southern zone of the plan-covered area is intended for commercial activities aimed at development of the tourist offer and technical facilities that will work within the airport.

The plan also defines the future traffic infrastructure. The existing road to the tourist settlement Beli Bagrem connects to the state road IB row number 34, and the main traffic access to the airport will be via the new road. The construction of a new side road branching from the above mentioned one, in the length of 1.8 kilometers, is also planned.
