General hospital in Jagodina

General hospital in Jagodina has decided to install solar collectors, which will reduce previous consumption of energy by 30 to 40%, that is, it will be providing free sanitarian hot water during four or five months a year.

- Thanks to solar collectors, which will be installed on the roof of this medical institution, solar energy will be maximally used in June, July, August and September, and the hospital will be using its old steam boiler only during the coolest months. The investment worth about EUR 100,000 should pay off in two or three years - Radoslav Galic from company Quiddita, the author of the project for installation of the new system, explains for eKapija.

- There will be no need for other source of energy in the summer. Two reservoirs for water that will be heated by collectors have the volume of 5 cubic meters, which is quite enough to satisfy the needs for sanitarian hot water in the hospital - says Galic.

Such collectors are particularly suitable for hotels, hospitals, sports centers, dormitories, that is, all the facilities where the use of sanitarian hot water is larger than usual.

- The project is finished and, after the funds are approved, installation of collectors will take about one month.

Quiddita has made similar projects for the hospital in Knjazevac, dormitory in Sombor, Selters spa resort, and it has also completed the documentation for SRC Tasmajdan where solar collectors will be heating the swimming pool and provide sanitarian hot water.
