Intensive Development of New Tourist Features in Uvac – Construction of New Visitors Center for Promotion of Nature Reserve Planned

The Municipal Administration of Nova Varos has opened the tender for the preparation of the project-technical documentation for the construction of a visitors-tourist center in Komorani.

According to the project task, the aim of the construction of this facility is to promote the special nature reserve Uvac and to teach guests about the features that this location offers.

The total area of the facility will be around 600 m2, and the ground floor will feature a multimedia hall for the presentation of video materials, a café-restaurant for the visitors, a gift shop, sanitary blocks and other features intended to make the stay at the center as comfortable for the guests as possible. Two lookouts are planned as well, and there will also be a 1.5-km footpath leading to the dam.

The commissioning party adds that the preparation of the project-technical documentation entails the preparation of a preliminary design, a project for the construction permit and a project for the execution of the works.

The tender is worth slightly over RSD 1.9 million and is open until August 31.

Lately, there has been an intensive development of tourist features in Komorani. The project of the construction of a tourist complex with accommodation facilities and five bungalows was presented recently, which shows that companies and the local self-government see a great economic potential here.
