Solutions for Quicker and Easier Exchange of Electronic Documents – Altermedia Offers Services for Increased Profitability, Lowering of Costs and Time Saving

Process automatization brings profitability, cost and error reduction, the saving of resources and quicker business operations. This has been recognized at the Belgrade company Altermedia, which has been operating for 14 years now, but, eight years ago, it started focusing on document exchange automation.

In that time, they’ve become very reputable in the pharmaceutical sector, where they work with over 3,000 pharmacies and cooperate with increasingly large suppliers.

– Lately, we have been expanding our field of operations, and one of the things we’ve focused on are stores, which are contacting us in increasing numbers in order to upgrade their processes and be more efficient. Our team consists of truly motivated people, whose mission is to upgrade the process of digitization in our country, so that things would be better for everyone. With that goal in mind and the good atmosphere, I believe that everything can be achieves, Vanja Markovic, Aftersales Manager at Altermedia, says for eKapija.

How to make retail more profitable?

One segment of their offer consists of services that can help retail become more profitable. As our interviewee explains, the services enable these companies to exchange electronic documents much more quickly and easily, thereby optimizing their operations:

– The volume of the work gets reduced, as well as the number of time- and resource-consuming errors, and there are also no unnecessary hard-copy items, which we are also trying to get rid of due to the unfavorable environmental situation that the entire planet is affected by.

The services of Altermedia are meant for both the purchasers and the suppliers. The purchasers use them to receive e-invoices and automatically register them, and the suppliers mostly use them for the possibility of automating the reception and the processing of orders in an electronic format.

– We are working on new projects, which will soon be presented. These are two new services. The first one has to do with the problem of listing the products, whereas the second one enables distributors to monitor the status of their goods in stores – eKapija’s interviewee reveals.

Amaps – electronic document exchange system

One service that especially stands out is Amaps. This is a system for the exchange of electronic documents: invoices, order forms and responses to them.

– Due to the new regulations pertaining to e-invoices, our service is becoming increasingly demanded. What’s important for us is that the clients come to us because they really want to do things more quickly and efficiently and not because it was imposed on them by the state. We offer solutions which upgrade the processes of our clients and that is the reason for our existence. It is truly a great pleasure when you get a call from a client who says that they can’t believe that they’ve been preparing invoices by hand for years, whereas now they can simply process them through the software at a single click – Markovic says.


Companies increasingly ready for new solutions

According to their experience, companies in Serbia are increasingly ready for such solutions, so that they could optimize their operations.

– A considerable number of renowned companies, such as, for example, Nelt, Marbo, Phoenix and others, already cooperate with us and we have a great experience with them. We are satisfied with the response of smaller companies as well, which are often aware that there’s room for progress and which are contacting us in increasing numbers, looking to use our services in order to achieve a competitive advantage – our interviewee says.

She adds that education is always desirable and that it should take a form which should help entrepreneurs realize the importance of digitization and the possibilities that information solutions can give them.

– The coronavirus situation, in addition to bringing many troubles, sorrow and uncertainties, has also managed to make people aware of the possibilities of remote work and the quickness of electronic exchange, as well as the savings realized that way, not to mention the importance of environmental protection and reduced use of paper – Vanja Markovic believes.
