Women's European Volleyball Championship Begins in Belgrade
The Serbian national team is looking to make history by winning its third successive gold, something which only the Russian team has managed to do so far.
Belgrade and “Stark Arena” are hosting the national teams of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan, Russia, Belgium and France in the group phase, and the best national teams from Europe will arrive to Belgrade for the playoff phase.
On the first day of the tournament, Serbia won the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina with 3:0.
This tournament is a unique opportunity for all fans of volleyball and sports in general to watch the legendary generation of Serbian volleyball players, led by Maja Ognjenovic and Milana Rasic, play for the final time. This team has won nearly everything there is to be won in the world of volleyball, from the Olympic silver medal to the European and world gold medals.
The Women's European Volleyball Championship is organized with the support of the Secretariat for Sports and Youth, as reported by Beoinfo.
