RES Serbia to Organize First Big Conference on Renewable Energy Sources

The first conference organized by the RES Serbia association will be held on September 15 at Hotel Metropol, the association announced.

The conference is organized with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, with the institutional support of the Ministry of Mining and Energy, and it will be organized as a series of panel discussions dedicated to the most important topics, such as the energy transition in Serbia and region, the results achieved by 2020 and the goals for 2030 and 2040, new investments and technologies, the integration of renewable energy sources in the electrical energy market, the implementation of the auction premium model, as well as all the challenges and obstacles that the energy transition process entails.

In addition to the standard energy and investment topics, the conference will be an opportunity to promote the Green Female Network, as an internal body of RES Serbia formed with the aim of inciting inclusion and gender equality in the green market energy and promoting young people in the RES field.

In addition to officials from the Ministry of Mining and Energy and the EBRD, participation in the conference has also been confirmed by the highest officials of the WindEurope organization, the Energy Community, officials of provincial institutions and public companies, representatives of the biggest investors in Serbia and the region, consultants, bankers and lawyers.

A detailed program of the conference under the working title “RES Serbia 2021” will be available in the upcoming period on the www.oie.rs website and social networks.

The intention of the association is for the conference to become an annual, traditional, national and regional gathering of the most important participants in the green energy industry, the press release emphasizes.
