Cooperation of Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Continental
On behalf of the institute, the agreement was signed by Dubravko Culibrk, who estimated that it was a very important step for the institute, because it enables future researchers to place focus on the problems with great practical importance from the very beginning.
– This way, our researchers are enabled to transform their knowledge into commercial solutions, which will influence the development of artificial intelligence, but also provide support to innovative global companies which are active in Serbia. Guided by the common vision, I am sure that we will upgrade the field of artificial intelligence in Serbia – Culibrk pointed out.
On behalf of Continental Automotive Serbia, the agreement was signed by director Sasa Horinga, who pointed out that, in the automotive industry, solutions from the field of AI were being used more and more, especially when it comes to automated driving.
– Our vision at Continental is to dictate trends and to be the best at what we do, and our engineers already are that. We are happy that we are commencing cooperation with the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia and we are sure that we will be even more successful in the international market together – Horinga emphasized.
The scientific-research and business-technical cooperation will entail, among other things, the realization of joint projects, product development and production programs and joint work on commercial projects financed by the European Union.
The institute, headquartered in Novi Sad, was founded this March by the Government of Serbia based on the initiative from the Strategy of Development of Artificial Intelligence for 2020-2025.
