Special Hospital Cigota Treating Covid-19 Consequences Too – Program Attracts Russians and Chinese

The Special Hospital Cigota is a unique health institution in these areas and the only one in Europe to have a trademark for the provision of health-tourist services. In an interview for eKapija, Cigota says that, at the moment, the situation regarding the arrival of local and foreign tourists is slowly normalizing after the closing due to the coronavirus pandemic and that they expect more guests from Russia and China in the upcoming period. They also say that they have prepared numerous new tourist-health programs for their guests, which are not only meant for those who already feel certain symptoms, but also for healthy persons and those with certain risk factors.

– Our treatments are meant for persons of all ages between 8 and 85 in those stages of thyroid or cardiovascular diseases in which rehabilitation is recommended. They are also meant for all healthy persons with risk factors to the end of prevention of myocardial infarction, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, blood fats, obesity… – the Special Hospital Cigota says for eKapija.

– After obtaining the Decision from the Institute for Intellectual Property of the Republic of Serbia, the marketing campaign under the slogan “CIGOTA is now CIGOTA®” has contributed to an increase in the number of users of our services from Europe, the Russian Federation and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Unfortunately, we too have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2020, the number of the users of our services, of overnight stays and of full board stays dropped rapidly. The situation has somewhat normalized this year and we hope to be able to justify our brand status in the upcoming period as well – they say and add that, in the upcoming period, they expect a great success of the program of recovery of post-Covid patients, for which the signing of an international protocol with reputable medical institutions from Russia and China is being prepared.

– In 2021, we started the realization of the new program “Post-Covid Cigota Recovery” – rehabilitation of patients after a Covid-19 infection. The project is not only interesting to people from Serbia, but we’ve also been addressed by official institutions from the Russian Federation (The Center of Applied Medicine and Food Safety "Biomed" at Lomonosov Moscow State University) and the People’s Republic of China (The Shanghai International Board for Medical Exchange and Cooperation). “Cigotica”, treatments for children and adolescents

One of the very popular programs of treatment and rehabilitation is the treatment of child and adolescent obesity, called “Cigotica”. Obesity among the younger parts of the population is an increasing problem which causes numerous harmful consequences at a later age, in adulthood.

– The problem of child obesity has for a long time been apparent in Europe and North America. The estimate is that around 17% of children in Europe are obese.
