Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali has announced the possibility of having the minimum wage increased to over RSD 35,000 this year.

– Each time we see, in our projections, the possibility of increasing the wages, we will do so. This year, we will try to have the minimum wage exceed RSD 35,000 for the first time – Mali said for TV Prva and added that “by the end of 2025, we expect the average salary to be EUR 900”.

Mali pointed out that the country was in the middle of executing the third economy stimulus package of a total value of nearly EUR 2 billion in order to mitigate the consequences of Covid and added that the lack of consumption in some other economies was a problem.

He pointed out that the applications for the additional EUR 20 of state aid to all citizens of legal age would start in mid-November and that the payments would be made in December.
