Investment of EUR 380 Million in HPP Djerdap in Next 10 Years Announced

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has announced that the state will invest another EUR 380 million in the revitalization of the HPP Djerdap system in the next 10 years, so that Djerdap could get an additional 50 MW of electricity.

– The key issue of Serbia’s progress is the issue of energy supply and energy security of our country – the president said after visiting the reconstructed navigation lock at the HPP Djerdap.

He pointed out that Serbia was spending more and more power, not just in the winter, but in the summer as well. According to him, the citizens are not thinking about whether there will be enough resources in the upcoming period.

– We will invest another EUR 380 million in the revitalization of the HPP Djerdap system in the next 10 years. It is an important task for EPS. Djerdap must get an additional 50 MW for the production of electricity – Vucic said.
