Sunoko Company Opens Biogas Facility in Vrbas Worth Over EUR 9 Million
With an investment of over EUR 9 million, the company is giving a strong contribution to the preservation of the environment and the production of green energy, MK Group announced.
The facility has an electrical energy production capacity of 2.4 MW/h, so it will meet the annual needs of around 5,000 households.
– Although Serbia, as an agrarian country, has extraordinary potential when it comes to renewable energy sources, there are only around 15 biogas-based facilities. Sunoko, as a member of MK Group, has decided to use the waste and the byproducts from sugar beet for the production of electricity. With these innovative projects, our group is contributing to environmental protection, but also more efficient and sustainable operations – says Zoran Stojak, the director of the technical sector of Sunoko.
The biogas power plant in Vrbas is using the technological solution of the German company Wabio Technologie GMBH, which, for the past quarter of a century, has been creating advanced and sustainable energy solutions, the press release adds.
