The members of the City Assembly of Belgrade are to vote on the amendments to the Decision on Local Regulation, said Goran Vesic, the deputy mayor of Belgrade, as reported by Beoinfo.

– According to this decision, the legal entities that are owners of buildings and houses within the cultural-historical units are obliged to make sure that their facades are presentable and without graffiti and to repair them properly, under the terms and with the approval of the competent Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments. This obligation pertains only to facilities owned by legal entities, that is, companies, banks, insurance companies, post offices, but also facilities housing schools, kindergartens or faculties. The decision does not pertain to residential buildings. Legal entities, that is, companies which fail to clean their facades of graffiti will have to pay a penalty of RSD 150,000 – Vesic said.
