Production of Sputnik V Vaccine at Torlak to Start on Friday

The production of the Russian coronavirus vaccine, Sputnik V, at the Torlak Institute is to start on Friday, June 4, announced the Serbian minister in charge of innovations and technological development, Nenad Popovic.

On his Twitter account, he announced a ceremonial event featuring high state officials of Serbia and Russia.

Let us remind that the filling of the first series of control doses of the Russian vaccines was carried out at Torlak in mid-April, and the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology confirmed in late May the quality of the vaccine produced at Torlak and approved the production of Sputnik V.

Serbia is the first country in Europe to produce this vaccine.
