The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications has opened the tender for the digitization of the tourist offer of Serbia, which entails the procurement of the platform called Tourist Assistant (Turisticki vodic).
The subject of the public procurement procedure is the preparation of the information system Tourist Assistant and the delivery and implementation of the equipment for the establishment of local computer networks for a fast internet access to tourist locations.
As specified in the tendering documentation, the Tourist Assistant information system is a platform that enables the competent institution to enter and edit the information about points of interest in the territory of Serbia, to enter and edit the information and multimedia content which pertains to a concrete tourist location, as well as the establishment of a national portal for information about the accommodation.
The platform, it is added, provides the users with an easy and simple insight into the tourist locations of Serbia by using web browsers or mobile devices. The Digital Guide (Digitalni vodic) is a special module, which leans on the basic platform, but also focuses on the specific tourist location that the user chooses.
With the help of the assistant, the user can easily get information about tourist locations in the vicinity and their content, detailed information about certain exhibits within the location, about planning travel routes (wine routes, cycling routes, hunting and fishing…), shopping facilities, restaurants and places to go out, as well as rent-a-car options.
The platform will also feature the national portal for the reservation of accommodation in the territory of Serbia.
The value of the procurement amounts to around RSD 529 million (EUR 4.5 million).
