Serbia’s Economy at Dubai Expo 2020
Marko Cadez, the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, has invited business people to address the CCIS in order to jointly design the presentations and the promotion of companies at such an important event.
Participation in the exhibit has been confirmed by as many as 192 states, and Serbia’s slogan will be “Serbia Creates Ideas – Inspired by the Past, We Shape the Future”. Serbia will showcase its economy within its national pavilion on 2,000 square meters in the thematic unit “Mobility”.
– The exhibit at the pavilion will show that modern Serbia is a natural inheritor of the remarkable artistic and trade talent, the kind of innovative approach that has changed the course of the entire civilization, as well as a follower of the peaceful coexistence of the Neolithic Vinca culture. It will show that modern Serbia is best represented by creative ideas of talented and inventive individuals, companies and organizations – said Ana Ilic, the adviser to the prime minister of Serbia in charge of creative industries.
Serbia’s pavilion consists of four parts: Serbia Creates Ideas, Serbia Creates Opportunities, Serbia Creates Experiences, Serbia Creates Inspiration.
The main objective of Serbia’s participation at Dubai Expo 2020 is to promote its business community at the leading business event in the world. The Chamber of Commerce of Serbia and the Development Agency of Serbia, as well as the operating team for the world exhibit, are in charge of the realization of the business program, whereas the business strategy will entail the realization of a range of business meetings, presentations and conferences, as well as the participation in official Expo business forums and the Serbian international business forum.
In addition to the activities within the pavilion of Serbia, the business strategy will entail another two business centers for Serbian companies considering an expansion to the markets of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates, in the South Dubai business district and in the Silicon Oasis technology park in Dubai.
Dubai Expo 2020 was supposed to be held in 2020/21, but has been postponed by a year due to the pandemic.
