National Savings Bank offers mortgage loans starting new year

General director of National Savings Bank, Bojan Stanivuković, announced that, from the beginning of next year, that bank would expand the offer of services on the market of Serbia, among which would be the project for mortgage loan offer. National Savings Bank will offer mortgage loans under more favorable credit terms to the owners of old foreign currency savnigs bonds, whereas the terms for other citizens will be similar to the ones in other banks. He reminded that that bank had become part of Greek EFG Eurobank in September and with its support National Savings Bank will continue to help to small and mid-sized enterprises, as well as development of Serbia’s economy, in 2006 through various projects. The Head of the Administrative Board of National Savings Bank, George Liknos, pointed out that EFG group, since it appeared on the market of Serbia 2.5 years ago, invested about €100m in local economy and employed about 600 people. By merging with National Savings Bank it opened branch offices on the entire territory of Serbia. He reminded that Greek Eurobank would offer new services to economy and the citizens of Serbia and it would continue to stimulate development of Serbia’s economy, but the amount of future investments would depend on the needs of the country.
