Citigroup named adviser for privatization of Telekom
- Serbian Government has decided to give Citigroup the job of the financial adviser for the sale of Telekom Srbija’s shares - people from the Ministry of Telecommunications told Beta agency. As Beta learns, it has not been determined yet when the contract will be signed, but what is for sure is that Minister of Finance Diana Dragutinovic will sign the contract on behalf of the Government.
The government entered into direct negotiations with Citigroup in late May, and later in June requested of Citigroup to correct irregularities it had in its initial bid for the job.
The commission determined that, by not signing a model of the contract, the bidder was not acting in accordance with the tender documentation, which made the bid faulty for formal reasons.
