IFC allocates 25 million euros for energy efficiency projects in southeast Europe

IFC, a member of the World Bank, announced that it would invest up to 25 million euros in Green for Growth Fund (GGF) in order to stimulate financing of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in Southeast Europe, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Turkey.

GGF will forward that money to small and mid-sized enterprises and private households, as well as energy companies, the companies dealing with renewable energy or renewable energy projects, and small companies that provide services of renewable energy supply.

GGF was formed by the European Investment Bank and German Development Bank (KfW).
