The longest tunnel on the Preljina-Pozega highway, Munjino Brdo, should be completed in early 2022, stated the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, who visited the works on that tunnel in the village of Krstac near Lucani.

He said that the Preljina-Pozega highway project had gotten three new components not too long before – three bypass routes, the one around Cacak probably being the most important. This bypass route will be completed with that highway section.

– It is the part from Preljina to Pakovrace. Once this is done, the traffic jams in Cacak will be drastically reduced. It is only when we finish this part of the road from Preljina to Pozega and these three bypass routes that we can say that we have completed what we aimed for when we started this project – says Momirovic, as announced on the website of the Government of Serbia.

He announced that the agreement on the section from Pozega to Boljare would be signed in May and that the aim was to have highway connections to Montenegro and to Sarajevo.

– BiH and Montenegro are our strategically friendly and important countries, with which we have the biggest and the best economic exchange, and our people live there as well – the minister said.
