The Government of Vojvodina and the competent Secretariat for Construction have just issued the building permit for the construction of the first section of the Fruska Gora Corridor, as announced by the president of the provincial government, Igor Mirovic.

– On Saturday, May 1, we expect Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to attend the opening of the construction activities in the zone of the new tunnels of 3.5 kilometers. I congratulate the urban planners, designers and the entire team of people in Ruma, Irig and Novi Sad, which prepared the project with the help of the Government of Serbia. I am proud to have initiated these works and to have been at the head of the team in the first phase of the preparation of the project – Mirovic said.

He then said: “Goodbye to trucks passing through Irig, Petrovaradin and a part of Novi Sad”.

– The new bridge goes through Kovilje to Alibegovci. We will be closer to Belgrade, Macva, Republika Srpska and all other areas. Those from Srem no longer have to trudge through Iriski Venac. I hope that the route through these tunnels will be easier – Mirovic said.
