Hotels in Ohrid and Struga will be offering cheaper reservations for tourists from Serbia between May and October, of up to 20%, depending on the length of the stay, as announced by the Hotel Association of North Macedonia (HOTAM).
The aim of hotel managers in North Macedonia is to incite Serbian tourists to spend their summer vacation at Lake Ohrid, or to stay for a few more days upon returning from their summer vacation in Greece and not just make an overnight stay, TV Alsat reported.
The half-board arrangement, with a breakfast and a dinner at a four-star hotel, costs around EUR 25, said the president of HOTAM, Krste Blazeski.
The idea of reducing the prices has so far been accepted by more than 90% hotels, Blazeski said and added that these special arrangements would be offered by agencies in both North Macedonia and Serbia.
