Gas Heating, Investment That Pays Off Quickly – Things Needed to Connect to the Network
The amendments enable the costs paid by citizens when connecting to the gas network to be reduced by up to RSD 100,000, which means that the citizens will only pay the costs of the basic connection to the system of distribution of natural gas based on the decision on the amount of costs and in line with the methodology.
It was precisely the disproportionate character of these items that was a big obstacle for households in Serbia to opt for this kind of heating.
– Those who have switched from solid fuels to gas for heating know the best how great the savings are. It is likely that these savings allowed them to make a return on their investment in a short amount of time. Furthermore, this kind of a heating system also reduces the emission of harmful gases to a considerable extend, which contributes to the preservation of the planet’s endangered ecosystem in the long term – Jevtic says.
He adds that another important thing for the users is that gas heating is very comfortable – it requires almost no “special interventions” during the exploitation, or storage facilities etc. The only thing the user needs to do is to have a regular annual servicing done, which is a relatively low expenditure compared to everything else.
– If properly maintained, gas boilers can last a long time. People who introduced gas to their homes back in the 1990s are only just now considering replacing the boilers, primarily because the technology has progressed a lot since then. It is certainly more profitable to buy new, condensation boilers, considering that they make for monthly savings of up to 30% compared to conventional ones – adds the director of Energy Net.
As a direct consequence of the amendments, in addition to the positive impact on the reduction of the emission of harmful gases and the ecosystem as a whole, gas heating also directly influences the entire chain value in the construction industry.
The estimate of Energy Net is that around 2,000 new jobs will need to be created, which guarantees a positive impact on the community, the state budget and the individuals who will benefit from this change in terms of health, economy and efficiency, but will also certainly boost the development of the country.
