The minister of ecology, spatial and urban planning of Montenegro, Ratko Mitrovic, said that he would discuss the construction of the Belgrade-Bar highway, the reconstruction of the railway of the same name and cooperation in spatial planning with his Serbian colleague Tomislav Momirovic at the meeting scheduled for April 6.

– When it comes to the construction of the Belgrade-Bar highway, we will talk about what our plans are and what the plans of the Government of Serbia are and which option is the best for the highway to be completed as soon as possible and be as good as possible. We will consider whether it’s better for Serbia to do its section to Boljare and for us to do ours, or to build it together, as well as to harmonize the dynamics of the construction of this highway, which is very important to us – the Montenegrin minister said.

He announced that the railway would be one of the topics, that is, the reconstruction of the Belgrade-Bar railway, in which Montenegro intends to invest considerable loan funds.

According to Mitrovic, the experiences of Serbia, which has done a lot in railway reconstruction, are very useful to Montenegro. This also pertains to the experiences in spatial planning, where Serbia has made great progress, and Montenegro intends to start preparing this very important plan.
