The Irish low-cost airline carrier Ryanair has announced its arrival to Zagreb, where it will open a new base. The company has announced that it will introduce 12 direct lines from Zagreb to big European cities.

As announced, there will be direct flights to Brussels, Dortmund, Frankfurt, Karlsruhe, Memmingen, Milan, Rome, Podgorica, Oslo, Gothenburg, Paris and London, the Index portal reports.

Representatives of Ryanair also said that they had no plans for internal flights within Croatia at the moment.

The company said that the Zagreb base, in which USD 200 million would be invested, would have two planes, 12 new lines and up to 36 flights a week and that 60 new jobs would be created.
