Construction of new outdoor swimming pool starts between Nova Pazova and Stara Pazova - first swimmers in summer 2011

An outdoor swimming pool with accompanying sports-recreation facilities will be built prior to the next summer in a location between Nova Pazova and Stara Pazova. The land procurement contract has been signed recently, and the municipal Directorate for Development is hastily preparing the necessary documentation.

The preliminary solution will be presented to the public within next ten days, while the location has already been determined. The land of about 3 hectares is situated on the crossroads of the four largest settlements in the municipality of Stara Pazova. The city administration has already signed the contract on the loan for procurement of the land, while the first phase of works on construction of the outdoor swimming pool, a capital facility for over 80,000 citizens of that municipality, is expected to be backed by the Government of Vojvodina as well.

Jovan Tišma, the Director of the Directorate for Development of Stara Pazova said that they had applied for about 80 million dinars from the Capital Investments Fund of Vojvodina.

According to the words of Mayor Goran Jović, the second phase is planned to include the works on construction of an indoor swimming pool as well.
