Eight companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina to become Fiat's partners?
After waiting for more than six months, the automotive suppliers from Bosnia and Herzegovina have got the green light to start cooperation with Kragujevac-based Zastava, in which automobile giant Fiat expands production.
Namely, Fiat plans to start using full production capacity of about 300,000 automobiles in Zastava in 2012. The company's representatives earlier pointed to the interest in cooperation with companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina because of their long tradition and high quality of production, and what is also important is the vicinity of the market.
That possibility was mentioned on the occasion of participation of the representatives of automotive suppliers from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the First International South East Europe Automotive Suppliers Industry Trade Fair Auto Compo Net 2010, which was held two months ago in Kragujevac.
According to the words of Midhat Čehajić, the Secretary of the Automotive Industry Group within the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fiat has been sent the list of eight companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina that meet the strict criteria set by the Italian company.
- They have accepted all eight companies as potential suppliers. By the way, before concrete cooperation is established, all companies will be audited in order to be checked if all standards (safety, quality, etc.) are met in the production - he says.
It is pointed out that the arrival of Italian experts in these factories may be expected soon.
The companies on the list are Cimos TMD Ai and TMD-AGS from Gradačac, Mann Hummel from Tešanj, ASA Prevent from Visoko, FAD from Jelah, Famos Adi from Sarajevo, Čajavec FSU from Laktaši, and Plamingo from Gračanica.
