The shareholders of Fortenova Group decided yesterday for the shares of Mercator, a company which also operates in Serbia, to be transferred to that business group, the successor of Agrokor.

Fortenova Group announced that it had received approval for the expansion of the existing financial arrangement with HPS Partners and VTB Bank of up to EUR 390 million, which is to be used for the crediting of the refinancing of Mercator’s debt toward banks.

The decision of an exchange of 18.53% of Sberbank’s shares in Mercator for a stake in Fortneova Group has been voted for as well, whereby the stake in the group has increased to 44%.

– There are no longer any formal obstacles to Mercator’s becoming part of Fortenova Group by the end of this month. The transfer of Mercator simultaneously entails the finalization of all the remaining obligations from the Creditors Settlement, whereby, after exactly four years, the procedure of extraordinary management in Agrokor will be completed successfully – said the CEO of Fortenova Group, Fabris Perusko.
