Application for the third package of state aid measures, which entail the payment of 50% of the minimum wage for three months, is
in progress, and
the first payment is expected, as announced, on April 8. The right to using the aid can also be lost if the business entity reduces the number of employees by more than 10% within a month of the final payment. Also, companies which pay dividends by the end of 2021 have no right to this kind of help.
The Tax Administration will check companies each last day of the month, beginning with March and ending on September 30, 2021, and those who lose the right to help are obliged to repay the money with interest.
Companies can use the funds exclusively for salary and compensation payments to the employees until July 30, 2021, at the latest.
City hotels will also get EUR 350 per individual bed and EUR 150 per accommodation unit, whereas this aid package does not envisage the same kind of help for hostels, motels, apartments and non-categorized accommodation.
The third state aid package doesn’t cover banks, insurance and re-insurance companies, companies for management of voluntary retirement funds and pension plans, providers of financial leasing, or payment institutions and electronic money institutions either.
Companies accept the direct payments by providing a special statement at the Tax Administration’s portal “ePorezi”.
The statement is made for each payment in the month preceding the month for which the payment is made and no later than the last day of the month.
