The installation of a new system of light signalization is in progress at the Nis Airport. The aim is for the airport to get a Category 1 tag, entailing an upgrade of the security, said the director of the Airports of Serbia company, Mihajlo Zdravkovic.
He added that the terrain of around 10 hectares had been cleaned for the purpose of the expansion and extension of the Nis Constantine the Great Airport and that the project-technical documentation for the new terminal building was ready, reports TV Zona Plus.
As
eKapija already reported, once extended and adapted, the Nis Airport building should have more “check-in” points for the registration of passengers and luggage with a conveyor-belt transport system and should be able to handle a total of 604 incoming + 604 outgoing passengers.
