North Macedonia Economically One of the Best in Europe, Prime Minister Says

North Macedonia has “one of the best economic results” in Europe, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.

Answering the question of MPs at the National Assembly of North Macedonia, Zaev said that even the salaries were rising in the time of the pandemic.

He said that, in the preceding years, the minimum wage had increased by 60% and the average wage by 30%, amounting to 27,000 denars (EUR 438).

He said that the state budget revenue collection was at 99%, which, he pointed out, “alone proves how vital the economy is” in North Macedonia.
