New investments with European partners - Vode Vojvodine participates in projects worth EUR 200m

At the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, public water management company Vode Vojvodine presented the projects that will be financed by the European Union.

The most important of them is the development of the EU Strategy for the Danubian region, which comprises 14 European countries. Based on the applied projects, the European Commission will develop a strategy for the Danubian region, which will be the basic document for funding the projects in the period 2014-2020.

Vode Vojvodine suggested the projects worth over EUR 200m. They are from the various fields, from the construction of regional hydro-systems for irrigation, rehabilitation of infrastructure facilities and remediation of water currents to introduction of information technologies in all segments of work.

Together with the partners from the Danubian countries, Vode Vojvodine participates in elaboration of the projects dealing with the risk from floods on the Danube, while the problem of droughts will be resolved in association with the neighboring countries.
