MATIC: Rebranding Serbia as a tourist destination a priority, spas as new sites of attraction
She said that rebranding Serbia as a tourist destination was among the first tasks.
– The process of digitization and implementation of new technologies and new technological solutions is a crucial requirement for improving the competitiveness of Serbia as a travel destination, but also its survival in the increasingly demanding international tourist market. In addition to expanding the system of e-tourists, which was implemented on October 1, the plan is to also launch a project of the digitization of the cultural-tourist offer of Serbia. The first phase entails the Major Cultural Routes of Serbia certified by the Council of Europe: Transromanica and the Roman Emperors and Danube Wine Route, and then the cultural-tourist route of the Fortress on the Danube, the cultural-tourist of the Monument Heritage of the Second World War, the tourist region Western Serbia and the archaeological sites Belo Brdo Vinca and Lepenski Vir – the minister explained.
