Delegations of Turkish and Macedonian free zones visited Pirot

The representatives of the Turkish Directorate Office for Free Zones and the Macedonian Directorate Office for Technological Industrial Development Zones were staying yesterday (May 6, 2010) in Pirot where they visited Free zone Pirot.

Nedžmi Ugurlu, the Deputy Director of the Turkish Directorate Office for Free Zones, said that the cooperation between Turkey and Serbia in the area of free zones was of great importance and that Turkey had the strategy for cooperation with the countries in the Balkans, the aim of which was to prepare the Balkan countries for admission to the EU.

Marjan Jovanov, the Director of the Directorate Office for Technological Industrial Development Zones said that the cooperation between the Government of Macedonia and Turkish free zones was excellent.

Dragan Kostić, the Manager of Free Zone Pirot, says that the yesterday's meeting is the result of long preparations and that it is of great importance for Free zone Pirot and Serbia. This meeting paves the way for bringing investors from Turkey and using the privileges and experience of Turkish free zones.
