Biodegradable Styrofoam BIOSPORIN, Best Innovation in 2020 at Ministry of Economy’s Contest
The HelikoStop team from Novi Sad won second place for its HerbELIKO innovation, the third spot went to Zanus from Valjevo for Innovative Production Robotics, and the Kragujevac-based team Protivpozarni placed fourth for its innovation Production of Expanding Material for Passive Protection. For its innovation Ozon, Prim from Krnjevo near Velika Plana placed fifth, and the sixth spot went to Energy Plus from Novi Sad for its innovation CurrentProfiler, Thermal Cube, Encoder Shield.
A total of 142 teams took part in the competition, and the total prize fund amounts to RSD 6 million.
This year’s final, due to the pandemic, was held on an online platform, and not in a studio of the Radio-Television of Serbia, as usual. The jury of six was presided over by the state secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Professor Marijana Dukic-Mijatovic. The jury included Vesna Damjanic, the editor of the information program of RTS, Radojka Nikolic, the editor of Ekonometar and Biznis magazines, Milos Andric, founder and owner of the business incubator Inokoa, Kovilj, Dr Marija Gnjatovic, a member of the 2019 winning team Unitrih, and Miomir Korac, the director of the Archaeological Institute.
For the sixteenth time, the contest was organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, in cooperation with the Faculty of Technical Sciences, the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade, the CCIS and RTS.
