Filling of Serbian Leg of TurkStream with Russian Gas Starts – First Deliveries from January 1
This will enable a total termination of the transit of gas to Serbia through Ukraine, and in the next phase, the gas from TurkStream should reach Hungary and then later Austria as well.
The Bulgarian company Bulgartransgaz earlier confirmed that the filling with gas would begin before January. Daily gas deliveries can reach 15 million cubic meters.
Let us remind that, during last week’s visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Belgrade, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that the Serbian part of the gas pipeline would open on December 30.
The TurkStream gas pipeline, which started operating on January 8, is laid down along the bottom of the Black Sea, from Russia to the coast of Turkey.
It then goes on land to the borders with the neighboring countries, from which the gas is already exported to Greece, Bulgaria and North Macedonia.
The flow capacity of the gas pipeline, which is 930 km long, is 31.5 billion cubic meters a year.
