Freelancers in Serbia will request from the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy for their representatives to be included in the Working Group for the preparation of a new labor law, in order to ensure that their position is regulated, says Katarina Pavlovic, legal advisor of the Association of Online Workers.

– We will address the ministry in order for them to include us in the operations of the working group and we can also talk about a special regulation that would regulate the status of freelancers, if it is estimated that such a thing is necessary – Pavlovic said.

– The non-regulated legal status is a key problem of freelancers, even bigger than the issue of taxation of their income.

The aim of the Association of Online Workers is to stop the announced tax collection from freelancers for the current year and the past five years and to clearly define their status in the local legislation.
