Number of Tourists in Serbia in October Halved – Guests from Israel Most Numerous
In October 2020, there were 168,497 arrivals, of which most were to the region of Sumadija and Western Serbia, 30%, whereas the Belgrade region makes up 23.5% of the total number of arrivals.
The most tourist arrivals to Serbia were from Israel – 6,805, followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina with 6,610 tourists and Turkey and Montenegro, each with slightly over 2.5 thousand arrivals to Serbia.
In the same period, there were 528,777 overnight stays in Serbia’s tourism sector, of which 42.1% in Sumadija and Western Serbia.
The urban neighborhoods of Belgrade saw 48.2 thousand tourist arrivals, Vrnjacka Banja and Sokobanja recorded over 14 thousand, and Zlatibor had 13.4 thousand tourist arrivals in October.
More than 104 thousand overnight stays were realized in Belgrade. Among the spas, the leader is Sokobanja with 66.6 thousand, whereas in mountain settlements, the largest number, 42.4 thousand overnight stays, was recorded on Zlatibor.
