Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandar Vulin said today that the Helicopter Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs should get the latest-brand helicopter “Superpuma” by the end of 2022.

He also reminded that the fleet consisted of 17 helicopters at that moment.

– In the past year a half, four Airbus H-145M helicopters have been procured, featuring state-of-the-art equipment – Vulin said while visiting the unit, the ministry announced.

Members of the Helicopter Unit today practiced everyday procedures and actions in cases of air accidents and rescue missions on unapproachable terrains, where vertical landing and picking up of the injured are not possible.

“Superpuma” belongs to a higher category than H-145M, thanks to its load capacity and capabilities.
