EU Budget Worth EUR 1,074 Billion for 2021-2027 Agreed

EU member states, the European Parliament and the European Commission have finished negotiations and reached an agreement which enables the adoption of a multiannual EU budget for the period between 2021 and 2027, worth EUR 1,074 billion.

The EU institutions have had to harmonize their positions when it comes to the amounts and the distribution across the programs within the budget, agreed in late July at the marathon-length summit of EU 27 leaders.

The budget of EUR 1,074 billion will come into effect after it is officially approved at the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union.
