The Municipality of Srbobran is increasingly interesting to foreign investors, and in addition to the German company Alutec, which has rented a section of space within the Elan complex, the Japanese company Aquafarm See has bought a greenhouse that used to belong to this agricultural complex, the president of the municipality of Srbobran, Radivoj Debeljacki, says for eKapija.

– Alutec, which produces automotive aluminum parts, has realized its operations in Serbia with the help of the Development Agency. They leased a part of the space that used to belong to Ratarstvo within the Elan complex. According to the information we got from the company, they plan to employ 100 workers – Debeljacki says.

He points out that, in cooperation with the Development Agency of Serbia and the Development Agency of Vojvodina, Srbobran is often visited by investors who intend to invest in greenfield or brownfield locations.

One of them is the Japanese company Aquafarm See, which has bough a greenhouse that used to belong to Elan.

– For the time being, there are preparatory activities for the beginning of the planned production, which is expected in the spring, when a certain number of workers is also expected to be employed – Debeljacki says.

He adds that the goal is to motivate local producers to cooperate with this company and the state of Japan.

Aquafarm See is a Japanese company founded by Kihachiro Nishiura in Serbia in 2015, in an attempt, according to the company's website, to expand the business cooperation of Japan and Serbia.

– Our company is a representative of the Japanese Southeast Europe Business Association (JSEEBA) for the Balkans and our main business processes are related to international cooperation with Japan – the website says.
