International Conference on Mineral Resources in Serbia on November 17-18 in a Hybrid Online Format

The 10th International Conference on Mineral Resources in the Republic of Serbia will be held at Hotel Metropol Palace in Belgrade on November 17-18, under the slogan “A Driving Force for Economic Development”.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the conference will for the first time be organized in a hybrid online format, which means that speakers from Serbia will come to Hotel Metropol and take part in the panels, the speaks from abroad will participate online, whereas the audience will follow the conference from their offices and homes.

The conference will feature a large number of officials and experts from the sectors of mining and geology from Serbia, the region and the world.

Among the speakers who will address the audience at the conference are Kimmo Lahdevirta, Ambassador of Finland to Serbia; Ruth Stewart, Ambassador of Australia to Serbia; Richlove Mensah, Regional Director of UK Department for International Trade – Europe Central; Nebojša Arsić, President of the Municipality of Medveđa; Vladimir Zaharijev, President of the Municipality of Bosilegrad; Dejan Kovačević, President of the Municipality of Gornji Milanovac; Branko Zečević, President of the Geological-Mining Association of Serbia (GRAS); Mirjana Dončić Beaton, Managing Director at CANSEE; Eric Rasmussen, Director for Natural Resources at EBRD London; Stephen Ndegwa, World Bank Country Manager for Serbia; Marnie Finlayson, Rio Tinto Minerals General Manager for the Jadar Project; Dominic Roberts, Head of Corporate Affairs at Adriatic Metals.

Other speakers at the conference are Teodora Dechev, CEO and President of Canadian company Mundoro Capital, Nikolay Hristov, Vice President for Sustainability and External Relations at Dundee Precious Metals; Jeremy Crozier, President of Medgold Resources Corp.; Peter Robinson, Chief Advisor for Mining Operations, Metalfer; Slobodanka Lazarev, CEO of Mineral Grupa; Mark Rachovides, President of Euromines; Milica Božović Marić, Director at ALS Laboratory Services; Sanja Prvolović, General Manager at Reflex Drilling; Nadine Veillette, Geophysicist Business Development at the Canadian company Abitibi Geophysique; Nikola Kjurchiski, Balkans Territory Manager at Weir Minerals; Ros Lund, Specialist for Mining at UK Department for International Trade; Aleksandar Vulović, Compliance Advisor and Community Relations Manager at Medgold Resources Corp; Dragan Milošević, Manager of Terragold; and others.


The conference is organized by TGI Group International, under the auspices of the embassies of Canada, Great Britain, Australia and Finland in Serbia, the Geological-Mining Association of Serbia (GRAS) and the Canadian-Serbian Business Association (CANSEE).
