MALI: VAT revenues higher by RSD 2 billion than planned, public sector salary raises certain
– Yesterday was the 15th of the month, the day when VAT revenues go into the budget. The income is RSD 2 billion higher than planned, which shows that our economy is doing well. That is the most objective indicator of an economy's well-being and it gives us the right to do everything that we planned by the end of the year – Mali said.
He added that it was certain that salaries in the public sector would increase.
– Based on the talks between the IMF Mission and president Aleksandar Vucic, it will be confirmed today that there will be salary raises in the public sector from January 1, 2021. However, the increase will not be as high as last year – he said on RTS.
The finance minister reminded that pensions would be raised by 5.9% and that the minimum wage would be raised by 6.6% from January 1, 2021.
