The new ambassador of Israel in Serbia, Yahel Vilan, said that Israeli investors were very satisfied with doing business in Serbia and that they were very interested in additional investments in the country. Vilan talked with Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali about the economic relations of the two countries and the investments of Israeli investors in Serbia.
Mali said that he expected Serbia to be among the first three countries when it comes to GDP results in Europe at the end of 2020.
As he added, it is important to invest even more in infrastructure now, because it influences the arrival of investors, but also in health and education, so that the economic growth in Serbia would be even quicker.
Mali also said that Serbia had learned a lot from Israel, especially in the domain of innovations.
– They agreed that the relations of the two countries were at a high level and that even better relations, primarily economic, would result from the opening of a joint state office in Jerusalem, which would be in charge of developing economic cooperation, especially in the domain of innovations – the ministry says on its website.
