Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has announced that, by the end of 2021, a full sewer system and waste water treatment facilities will be built in Kragujevac and Nis, which will cost more than half a billion euros.
– That's very expensive. In those two cities alone, it will cost us around 270-280 million each, around EUR 550 million in total – Vucic told the press upon the signing of the agreement on the Fruska Gora Corridor.
He added that Kragujevac and Nis were the cities in which the construction of new modern regional landfills is planned.
Also, four new landfills will be built in Vojvodina – Pancevo, Subotica, Sombor and Sremska Mitrovica, and the rest in central Serbia – Kragujevac, Nis, Uzice, Kraljevo, Vranje, Pirot and Pozarevac.
Those in Kragujevac and Nis will be completed by December 19, 2021, and all the others by October 1, 2023, Vucic announced.
