World's strongest truck at Beotruck 2010 - Volvo plans "old for new" offer

Volvo presented the world's strongest assembly-line manufactured truck Volvo FH 16 at the international exhibition of commercial vehicles Beotruck 2010, which is held between March 23 and 27 at the Belgrade Fair.

- Truck FH 16 of 700 horse powers exists in two variants - as two-axle truck for long-route transportation and as three-axle truck for transportation of heavy freight in local and regional traffic – Vladimir Vuković, the Sales Director in Volvo, told eKapija.

Swedish truck manufacturer, which is present in the market of Serbia since 1998, plans to continue selling complete range of vehicles for building companies and transportation in 2010, keep the market share above 20%, as well as launch new services.

- This year we plan to enable procurement of used vehicles and selective "old for new" exchange – said Vuković.

He announced that two new models of trucks would appear in the market of Serbia in 2010.

- Volvo FMX, which will be used by building companies, will be presented for the first time on April 19th, at trade fair Bauma 2010 in Munich, and it will then be presented in Serbia. We expect new model FM to arrive in Serbia prior to mid-2010 – Volvo's Sales Director points out.

He says that people in the company are satisfied with the business results in 2009, primarily because they delivered 65 vehicles weighing over 16 tons. He added that much was expected from the construction of Corridor 10.

Vuković points out that each vehicle is adapted to the buyer's requests.

- We practically make every vehicle to the order. Volvo has made several different specifications for trained sellers to recommend to our clients in accordance with their needs – said Vuković.
