Contest for Sustainable Development of Urban Forests Opens Within EU Project URBforDAN

The Secretariat for Environmental Protection and the PE Srbijasume – Sumsko gazdinstvo Beograd have opened a contest within the URBforDAN project for management and use of urban forests as natural heritage in the cities on the Danube – Preserving “the green lungs” of the city.

The contest aims to encourage innovative and attractive ideas which will promote the city area – protected nature good Avala and the Suplja stena area, improving their sustainable development, while honoring the diversity of its beneficiaries, the Association of Landscape Architects announced.

By taking part in the contest, young professionals, space beneficiaries and amateurs will have an opportunity to promote their vision and professional skills, but also to qualify for acquiring substantial experience in a co-creative design of Belgrade's public spaces.


The contest is open between September 21 and October 30, 2020.
