Baranja kulen, Dalmatian and Drnis prosciutto, Lika potato, Dingac and Neretva tangerine are the six Croatian food products that have been put on the list of 100 European products with the protected designation of geographic origin that the European Commission has officially announced as the products to be specially marked and favored in the trade with China.

Reciprocally, the EC has also published a list of 100 Chinese products that will be recognized and recommended in the EU market. The European list features French champagne, Greek feta cheese, Italian prosciutto di Parma and mozzarella, Irish whiskey, Portuguese port wine, whereas the Chinese list features products based on rice, legumes and vegetables that the European market is already familiar with.

As the EU Commissioner for Agriculture, Janusz Wojciechowski, emphasized at the signing, after the negotiations, which lasted for a year, an agreement was signed that many countries in the EU consider historic, as it will enable the trade of registered products, leaving no doubts about potential counterfeits of big brands.
