Acquisition of Komercijalna banka in progress
The NBS is to decide on the request within 60 days of the reception of the request and the documentation, which hasn't yet happened.
According the law, before the transaction is finalized, mandatory regulation permits and approvals from the European Central Bank, the Bank of Slovenia and the National Bank of Serbia, must be obtained.
Mid-June, Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB) has filed a request for taking over the direct ownership, owning more than 50% of voting shares in Komercijalna banka.
The agreement on sale of Komercijalna banka with NLB was signed mid-February with NLB committing to pay EUR 387 for 83.2% of control stock.
